Search are recruiting on behalf of our client based in the Edinburgh area for an experienced Yard Operative to join their team in Leith, Edinburgh. This is a full-time, permanent position offering stable hours, competitive pay and the opportunity to grow within an expanding business.

The Role

You will play an important part in the day-to-day running of the yard, supporting warehouse and logistics operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

* Loading and unloading shipping containers and delivery vehicles
* Picking and preparing outgoing orders
* Receiving and checking incoming goods
* Supporting inspection and basic maintenance of rental equipment
* Keeping the yard clean, organised and safe
* Assisting with stock counts and inventory control
* Reporting to the Warehouse & Logistics Manager

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a busy, practical environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards.

About You

To be considered, you must have:

* A valid driving licence
* A valid forklift licence
* Previous experience in a yard, warehouse or similar environment
* Basic computer skills
* A strong focus on health and safety
* A reliable and team-oriented approach

You should be motivated, willing to learn about new products and processes, and interested in developing your career within a growing company.
