This is an exciting opportunity for a creative Sous Chef to join a nationally recognised, independently owned vegetarian and vegan restaurant. The kitchen is known for imaginative, high-quality dishes and values consistency, creativity, and progression within a supportive, well-led environment.
Having grown from an innovative vegetarian kitchen to a household name in the city, this is a chance to work closely with the senior team and owners, contributing across service, prep, stock control, and mentoring junior chefs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver consistent, well-executed dishes during service
* Lead and support junior chefs in prep and service
* Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and organisation
* Manage stock, ordering, and equipment efficiently
* Communicate clearly and contribute to a positive team culture
What We're Looking For:
* Experience at Junior Sous/Sous level in a professional kitchen
* Strong organisational skills and calm leadership
* Confidence running sections and supporting team development
* High attention to detail, timing, and standards
* Interest in refined vegetarian & vegan cooking (training provided)
