Monday to Friday | 7:00am - 3:30pm | 40 hours per week

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Sous Chef to lead a professional hospitality kitchen within a prestigious contract catering environment in Central London. This role will focus on delivering exceptional fine dining, bowl food, canapé events, and a high-end partner's lounge experience. You will manage a close-knit team of 8 chefs, ensuring the production of restaurant-quality food for corporate hospitality and events.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a chef with a strong fine dining background who is eager to bring Michelin-level standards to a stable, weekday-only contract catering role, while honing leadership skills in an exclusive environment.

The Role

As Senior Sous Chef, you will work directly with the Head Chef and Executive Chef to uphold the highest standards of fine dining hospitality across multiple service styles. You will be instrumental in leading and developing a team, ensuring flawless execution of every dish, and contributing to the overall success of all events and lounge services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of 8 chefs, ensuring consistent high performance
  • Overseeing the preparation and service of fine dining, bowl food, canapé events, and partner's lounge offerings
  • Maintaining and elevating the standards of food quality, presentation, and service to meet elite expectations
  • Contributing to menu development with a focus on modern, elegant fine dining
  • Ensuring smooth kitchen operations during both hospitality and event service
  • Enforcing exemplary food safety, hygiene, and allergen standards
  • Collaborating with senior kitchen leadership on planning, execution, and continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

We're looking for a Senior Sous Chef with previous experience in fine dining environments at a Michelin-star, 3 Rosette, or 5-star hotel level, or a Sous Chef ready to step up. The ideal candidate will have a passion for culinary excellence and be highly skilled in high-end hospitality and event catering.

  • Essential fine dining background with experience in Michelin-star, 3 Rosette, or luxury hotel environments
  • Proven experience delivering high-end hospitality and event catering
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills within a quality-focused brigade
  • A refined palate, with meticulous attention to detail in every aspect of food preparation and presentation
  • A calm, organised, and professional approach in a demanding, high-pressure hospitality setting
  • Thorough knowledge of food safety, allergens, and best kitchen practices
