Sales Ledger Clerk - Temporary

Search are working with a successful and growing business based in Castleford who are looking for a sales ledger to join their finance team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail and experience in accounts to support a busy, friendly department.

The Role

As a Sales Ledger Clerk, you will play an important role in managing the company's customer accounts and ensuring accurate financial records. Key duties include:

  • Raising and issuing sales invoices
  • Posting and allocating customer payments
  • Reconciling customer accounts
  • Investigating and resolving invoice and payment queries
  • Preparing customer statements and reports

The Ideal Candidate

  • Previous experience in a sales ledger or credit control
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication skills when dealing with customers and internal teams
  • Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and finance systems
  • Organised, reliable, and able to work to deadlines

This role is full time working fully office based with an option to hybrd after training. Salary paid on an hourly rate to £26,000 to £27,000 depending on experience.
