We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead a talented kitchen team at a high-volume, fast-paced retail kitchen in the heart of Central London. Serving up to 1,500 covers daily, this is an exciting opportunity to take the reins of a busy kitchen, where you'll oversee a team of 16 chefs and drive the delivery of exceptional street food inspired by global flavours.

The Role

As Head Chef, you'll play a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. You'll be responsible for overseeing food production, managing a talented brigade, and ensuring consistency in both quality and presentation across a high-volume service.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading, motivating, and developing a team of 16 chefs, including overseeing the pastry team, to deliver outstanding food service
  • Managing kitchen operations in a high-pressure, high-volume environment, consistently delivering up to 1,500 covers daily
  • Ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene, and safety at all times
  • Driving the creation and development of a street food-inspired menu that celebrates global flavours while keeping customers excited and engaged
  • Collaborating closely with the Executive Chef and senior management on strategic kitchen operations, menu planning, and ensuring efficient workflows

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a similar high-volume, high-quality environment
  • Strong leadership skills, with a track record of managing and developing kitchen teams
  • In-depth knowledge of world cuisines and a passion for modern food trends
  • A creative and innovative approach to menu design, with the ability to adapt to changing customer preferences and seasonal ingredients
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards
