Overall Purpose

Search are thrilled to be supporting a local accountancy practice who are looking for a Payroll Assistant who loves accuracy, enjoys solving problems, and is passionate about supporting businesses as they push forward.

In this role, you'll be a key part of the payroll function, working closely with the Payroll Manager and Finance Team to deliver a smooth, modern, and client friendly payroll service. Key Responsibilities

• Payroll Delivery with Precision
  Deliver accurate monthly and weekly payroll, ensuring full compliance, and resolve daily client payroll queries
  
  
• Supporting Payroll Procedures
  Maintain and update payroll policies while improving processes and managing smooth workflows

• Cross Team Support
  Work closely with the wider finance team, take on additional responsibilities, and contribute to a positive, people focused culture

What You Bring

• Practice Experience & High Volume Know How
  You've worked within an accounting or payroll practice and feel confident handling busy, varied workloads
  
  
• Strong Payroll Knowledge
  From calculations to compliance, you know the mechanics of payroll and deliver consistency every time
  
  
• Relationship Building Confidence
  You enjoy supporting clients, communicating clearly, and being a dependable point of contact
