Payroll Assistant (Hybrid)

Circa £17.50 per hour

We are recruiting a Payroll Assistant on behalf of our client to support the production of the March payroll and year-end payroll processes. An immediate start is preferred, allowing the successful candidate to shadow the current Payroll Manager before handover. This is a temp role until the end of March.

37.5 hours per week (flexible working hours)

The Role
This role will focus on running a monthly payroll for approximately 250 employees using Sage Payroll, alongside supporting a TUPE transfer and year-end reporting.

Key responsibilities include:
* Taking ownership of the March monthly payroll
* Processing payroll using Sage Payroll
* Managing payroll timelines (pay date: 25th of each month; bank submission mid-month)
* Running year-end payroll reports
* Supporting the payroll transfer, including transferring payroll data accurately
* Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure payroll deadlines are met

About You
* Previous experience running payroll independently
* Strong working knowledge of Sage Payroll
* Comfortable managing deadlines and working with confidential data
* Experience with TUPE transfers and year-end payroll processes is highly desirable
* Able to start at short notice
