Head Chef - Bespoke Events

Salary: £50,000 per annum
Hours: 48 hours per week
Working Pattern: 5 days out of 7

We are looking for an experienced Head Chef to join a leading contract catering company, overseeing bespoke events in central London. This exciting role offers the opportunity to manage and deliver high-quality, tailored catering services for a wide range of prestigious events.

As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen team, developing creative menus, and ensuring exceptional food quality for every event. You'll work closely with clients to deliver bespoke culinary experiences, while maintaining the standards expected of a top-tier contract caterer.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage kitchen operations for bespoke events and catering services across multiple locations
• Design and execute custom menus for each event, ensuring high-quality food and presentation
• Supervise and motivate a team of chefs, ensuring smooth kitchen operations and consistent results
• Ensure full compliance with food safety, health & safety, and kitchen hygiene standards
• Manage food costs, stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships to meet budgetary targets
• Collaborate closely with clients and senior management to ensure seamless event delivery
• Maintain exceptional standards of food quality, service, and presentation

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience as a Head Chef, ideally within contract catering or event-based environments
• Strong leadership skills with a background in managing and developing kitchen teams
• A flair for creating bespoke menus tailored to client needs
• Experience managing food costs, budgets, and supplier relationships
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure catering environment
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
