We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established accountancy practice in Hamilton for an experienced Practice Bookkeeper to join their growing team.
This role would suit someone with prior experience working in practice who is comfortable managing multiple clients and working to deadlines. Candidates from industry will also be considered, provided they are keen to adapt to the pace and demands of a practice environment.

The Role
- Managing a portfolio of bookkeeping clients
- Posting payroll journals
- Chasing client records and information
- Preparing work plans and managing workflow
- Completing VAT and CIS returns
- General bookkeeping duties
- Posting payroll journals
- Sage and Xero
- Cloud-based accounting systems
Key Requirements
- Previous bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice
- Strong ability to manage multiple clients simultaneously
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills
- Industry-trained candidates considered if willing to adapt to practice life
- Hardworking and reliable
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to manage deadlines and competing priorities
